The restoration of all things

Like science and other mysteries that are being revealed, so also in the theological world.

Many of the present day leading theologians are beginning to come into, which is I believe one of the most profound mysteries that have been introduced since the days of the reformation.

I do know that many Christians have a hard time with theology, many even wonder if there really is a place for them in this present age.

Whatever one believes, I personally believe they are essential to our ever understanding of the unfolding of divine truth.

Mysteries run parallel to Gods movements throughout history.

Today’s truths are springboards to tomorrow’s events.

The Church is not a fixed entity; it’s an evolution of Gods revelation.

The church is an ever-growing living organism that is coming into manhood.

We find ourselves presently in this cycle.

I don’t know were we are, but I do know that we as a living body are coming into a maturity that is required, prier to the coming of the Lord.

It’s like growing up from childhood to adulthood; we are given things that are required for our further development.

So likewise, God gives to the church that which is required for the time it finds itself in.

As we continue toward the end of this present age, it is essential to be open to things that might sound a bit unfamiliar, or even strange to our present understanding.

There presently is a theological discussion regarding Paul’s strange language used on his interpretation of when he speaks on the principalities and powers.

Christianity has commonly understood that these powers were somehow evil, and that we are in constant aggression toward then.

Like the language, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but ruler’s authorities of this present age, wickedness in high places.

The volumes written on this topic are staggering.

The early church fathers, with the light that was given at that time, interpreted these things according to their understanding of the things, which were common in their age.

So we really have a two thousand year interpretation that is very common to most believes of today.

So to introduce something that is widely different is a very arduous task, but it is being debated in the theological world.

So why is it so important to enter this discussion?

Well if the truth will set you free, then we must know what truth is.

Fairy tales are fairy tales truth is truth.

The Holy Spirit stands on the ground of truth, he only responds to truth, he is the interpreter of truth, and he is called the spirit of truth.

So if we are not in agreement with the truth there comes a tension in our personnel development, in regards to the faith.

In like Pauline fashion, he was the prophetic interpreter for the whole dispensation, to truly know Paul is to truly know Gods fullness, which only Paul was privileged to receive and deliver.

That is why it is essential to understand this man.

So when Paul speaks we as the church must listen.

So what do the powers represent in the scriptures? Do they represent what is commonly held in most Christian circles, or is there something other?

For the lack of time I will try to streamline things that have been read and studied over a long period of time.

When God created all things he said it is very good, so why are they now no longer good?

How can they be evil if God said that all things were created good?

This great mystery seems to have a beginning in the garden with Adam and Eve, all things prier to this event were created good.

We do know that after the fall of man chaos entered the creation; all things went out of joint. The equilibrium of all things that was prier the fall was no longer according to the divine ordering of God.

So really we can’t blame the powers that God created. It’s much more than this simple explanation given.

The powers were created for man, not man for the powers.

They really were created to be in servitude to the man of Gods creation.

The powers that were created were responsible for all that makes mankind, mankind.

Humanity is cradled in the systems which God created , which are called the principalities and powers.

They are the systems that God put in place to regulate his creation.

The powers as much as humanity are living supernatural beings.

The powers are the invisible realities that give expression to the visible?

Without the powers in their created function we simply would not be human.

They are the all things, which make up this present life.

We the visible created creatures are the outer expressions of these invisible realities.

The powers are the inner hidden invisible realities, which find expression through us, and in us.

Without us they have no expression, you could say they are dormant, lifeless entities that wait for us to reveal them.

When God created male and female, then man was complete.

The powers were not complete until man was created.

The whole problem started when man lost, through disobedience the headship of God.

It was God that held all things in harmony at the beginning.

What happened at the fall is that all things somehow became out of joint.

Somehow the order of creation turned on itself. Instead of man having dominion over all things, all things took dominion over man.

The powers became hostile toward man, but also each other.

The powers turned from servants of man, to the Gods of this age.

By Man loosing the headship and image of God, the powers turned on each, but also turned on man.

They are now hostile toward man; they compete for the domination of the Adamic race.

They compete to be preeminent among man; there are no restraints now, they have taken the reins of human life.

The powers now in all their manifold expressions strive to dominate the human race.

The powers have become demonic they know no bounds.

The cross was Gods answer to the chaos in the creation.

The cross was God bringing back the order that was in the beginning.

It is called the restoration of all things.

15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,[e]
16 for through him God created everything
in the heavenly realms and on earth.
He made the things we can see
and the things we can’t see—
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.
Everything was created through him and for him.
17 He existed before anything else,
and he holds all creation together.
18 Christ is also the head of the church,
    which is his body.
He is the beginning,
supreme over all who rise from the dead.[f]
So he is first in everything.
19 For God in all his fullness
was pleased to live in Christ,
20 and through him God reconciled
    everything to himself.
He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth
by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers[a] of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.[b] 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed[d] the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

The event of the Cross of Christ represents the release of the authority of God over all things.

We don’t yet see the fullness of this event in the history of this world, but we do see the beginning of it in the church.

Jesus Christ brings order to the powers; they are defeated now in him! He is head of all authority and power.

We as Christian’s talk about freedom, but what does that really mean?

Paul says that we now as followers of the Lord are free, not to live in separation from the powers but to live in the harmony that was in the beginning, which is being restored.

The word says that he must rule and rein in the heavens until he has put all authority and power under his feet.

Yes I know that all things are not yet as they should be, but we as believes know that it is coming. We do witness the beginning of these things, we see in part.

At the Cross of Christ, all things were brought back to the authority of our God and his Christ.

That is what truth does once understand; it releases us from bondage to the powers, to the freedom of the children of God.

We shouldn’t fear the powers if we are in Christ, there they have been subjected back to their created place, which is servant’s to man, under the headship of God.

The powers are considered evil in this present world, which does not understand this.

And yes this is true, they are very destructive to the man that is outside of the order and freedom, which we find when we truly come into the Son of God, who is the order of Gods new restored creation.

The rod of God

When he had disarmed the rulers and authorities, he made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through him. Col 2-15

The great question that that many scholars and theologians wrestle with is; why does the Lord allow the devil and the evil powers of this age to continue to exist in.

These evil fallen powers seem to be just having their way with fallen humanity, and also causing great havoc among believers.

At the cross these forces of evil were defeated.

The great question is why does the Lord allow these antagonistic forces to continue to exist, which are the cause so much pain and havoc in this present world.

Could not the Lord have sealed then in a prison until the Day of Judgment.

Why does he allow them to roam the earth with such awful results.

Sometimes when we come under the strain and antagonism of their evil work towards us, we begin to question, does the Lord really control these beings.

Why are they given such liberty?

Sometimes the answers to our questions are very hard for us to accept.

Martin Luther called the Devil the lords Devil?

For the scripture says to Pharaoh. For this very purpose I raised you up to demonstrate my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth. Romans 9-17

So the question is if the Lord uses them as instruments of wrath, does this not implement the Lord in their evil?

The answer is no, if the Lord allows someone to do something that is in their nature to do, it does not implement the Lord in the thing they do; they do evil because they are evil.

If the Lord really let these fallen powers loose, we would really be in big trouble, the human race would quickly disintegrate into complete chaos.

The Lord is allowing their evil to manifest his Glory.

They are the instruments that drives us back to God.

The terror that they use towards us cause us to take refuge in our God.

By nature we are all prone to sinning, but the sin that we partake in results in the power of death over us.

You cannot sin without consequence, if you allow sin into your life, you allow the power of death into your life.

This power of death comes with the fallen evil spirits that you now have let enter your being, which in turn causes great pain and suffering.

Sin might be easy at first, but in no time at all it produces great pain and suffering.

Its very easy to let death enter in, but it’s a lot harder to get it out.

One scholar says, the instrument of our sin becomes the instrument of our judgment, the sin we allow becomes our judgment.

I wonder how many of us would continue to sin if there wasn’t such pain and suffering attached to the event.

We all know what happens when there are no consequences to our behavior.

As the Lord allowed the enemies of Israel to discipline their sin and rebellion, so in like manner the Lord allows the forces of evil to discipline the church and the world.

Make no mistake about it, the sting of sin is death, it is a painful thing to be delivered from the power of death, but thank God it drives us back to God.

Start of the prophetic clock

When the age of the gentiles comes to an end, and the Lord again, as he has said through the prophets returns back to ancient Israel then you know the prophetic time clock of his return is started. I believe the powers of this age know that when this begins to happen, then they truly know the gig is up for them and their false rule over the nations.

Unseen realm of conflict

This heavenly sphere is the place of this universal conflict.

This conflict is between Christ and his Church, and the rulers of this present age.

When we truly come to the reality of our place in the body of Christ, then we enter this cosmic sphere of intense battle.

This battle is for the rights of the authority and ruler ship of this world.

The event of the cross was the victory secured for the church.

But reality is that this world is still under the power of the prince of the powers of the air, he still has a tremendous presence in this world.

The rulers of this present age have not yet been removed from their high places of power.

This battle is, and will rage right up to the end of this present age.

We know that in the end he will be removed from his place of authority, but this waits for the finality of the completeness of the body, which is the church.

This is the destiny of the church, to replace the rulers of this age, but this waits for the completed elect number, which makes up this body.

But now the true church is in a constant struggle with these rulers that hold this heavenly ground, which is the destiny of the elected church.

This great destiny is waiting for a elected chosen number, when this number is reached then the great end of the age exchange takes place.

10 God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we[d] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.[e] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.[f] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

So these rulers know this and continue to do all that they can to frustrate the purposes of God.

But these rulers do know that there is a set time for their removal.

King Saul may have still been king, but his days were numbered, he knew that eventually David would inherit the throne.

The cross and the powers

These are the days that Lord shall roar out of Zion.

Zion has a controversy with this world, its present prince and his Babylonian system built on greed, lust, pride, confusion, love of self and lies.

The rulers of this present age that are hidden in deep darkness can only be revealed to us through a deep work of the cross of Calvary.

The measure of the work of the cross in our lives is the measure of our spiritual insight.

The cross is the center of our Christian reality; to avoid the deep work of the cross in ones life is to stay as a blind man, but not knowing it.

The main objective of the world ruler is to keep the church blind to this truth.

I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ in me.

All of the letters of Paul are full of this truth, for the word of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

The true power of God was revealed at the cross by the humility of God.

The powers of the air were stripped at the cross.

They were defeated, disarmed, and humiliated in front of the whole created order.

At the cross they were unmasked, revealed and shown for what they really represent.

When the son of man hung on the universal cross in complete brokenness and agony, then and only then was the mystery revealed.

This mystery of the fallen powers is hidden to us by nature, but through the reality of the cross of Christ the mystery is revealed, our freedom becomes reality, our authority is found.

These forces that jerk and manipulate the nations of this world and the church, only fear one thing, which thing is Christ crucified in our personnel experience.

The only power we have over these forces is the measure of our identification of the work of the cross.

Our true spiritual stature is measured by our apprehension of the cross of Calvary.

This is the only reality that these powers are in subjection to; this is the only place of their defeat.

Hidden realms of spiritual reality

The longer one’s life in this world, the more one comes into the understanding that all things, which make up this life, are governed by some hidden invisible spiritual power.

What is this power that flow’s through this created universe.

I do wonder where this place really is, which seems to regulate all the events?

Yes we believers do somewhat have an answer; it is written in the scriptures.

But how many of us truly do have this ability to see beyond the written word, and pierce into the dimensions of the world that is spirit.

How many of us know, or want to know, that there is a place like this that does exist?

We look into this created order, which we are a member of, water, sky, trees, flowers, birds, animals, seasons.

We see that they are all carried by something that is so otherworldly?

We stand in wonder, what is this life force that seems to have no need from us.

Why do these things move so harmoniously, so effortlessly.

How can such things as this be so hidden to the senses, which we posses?

What is this strange mystical world, which one knows is real, but so far away, yet so close to us.

Maybe one doesn’t need to understand these things, but I seem to find myself standing back with this longing.

I must know! I need to know, I have to know!

When did this longing come? It’s real, it’s there, it’s given, its free?

One thing I do know, is that all the events, which makes up this present life, are in some kind of subjection to this invisible world that is spirit.

This strange mystical magical place, a place that does have an answer our questions.

We created creatures, we cannot escape from this otherworldly reality.

We are in subjection to this strange arena, which we call life.

All of our movements, which make up this life, are in some form of subjection to this wonderful place.

To me it almost seems that without this invisible world, humanity is just a blank canvas, waiting for the force of creative energy,

to live, to feel, to love, to laugh, to cry?

As I stand back with this understanding, I find myself in absolute amazement, how in the world can these things be so?

Yes we mortals call it luck, karma, and other such verbiage, but this is so all-inclusive to truly what is.

These mysteries, which we long to look into, they are not given cheaply, they are only given when one longs, one seeks, one asks, one prays?

There is a door, waiting for all who would come, all who would knock, all who would enter, all who would find, all who would understand, and all who would live?

The message of the cross

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death is at work in us, but life in you.

16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self[d] is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger; by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love; by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; through honor and dishonor, through slander and praise. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.

But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which[b] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. 16 And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

I wonder if Paul was alive today, would he recognize this modern day gospel, which is preached in large parts of the world.

There is the theme, which runs through the epistles of Paul, which is centered on the message of the cross.

How many today do really understand what the cross of Christ represents?

What is this strange unknown language, which Paul uses when he speaks on the cross.

The message of the cross of Christ, is the central theme of the preaching of the Apostle Paul.

This theme of the cross runs throughout all of Paul’s epistles.

The message of the cross was not a teaching to Paul, it was not the symbol of his faith.

The message of the cross was the very life and history of the Apostle Paul.

Paul more than any other, revealed throughout his epistles, what the word of the cross really represents in ones personnel experience, in regards to the christian life.

Its what one enters into, through regeneration into a new humanity, which is of the Son of Gods love, who is Gods new divine order of humanity.

The cross is the event of baptism, the cross means that you are leaving one form and kind of existence, and entering into another form and kind of existence.

Leaving one kind of natural economy, and entering into another kind of divine economy.

The cross does not mean changing the direction in ones life, doing things a lot differently than we did before, being a better person in this world.

What the cross does mean is that you are now leaving a reality of existence and being, which one has lived in this life, and now entering into a altogether different kind of reality and being, which one has not lived nor known before.

The cross means leaving one form and kind of creature of this world, and entering into another form and kind of creature that is not of this world, which is an altogether different kind of species and creation.

The cross is the journey of the christian life, leaving one kind of a humanity and entering into another kind of a humanity, which is in this world, but not of this world, which is in this time, but not of this time.

The journey of the life of the cross is a devastating experience, to one kind of a humanity, but it is also a glorious experience to another kind of humanity.

The cross says no to one kind of a life, but yes to another kind of life.

Living the life of the cross, is living a life of something that is now leaving, disappearing, but also living the life of the cross is living a life of something that is now coming, appearing.

Living the life of the cross is feeling the pain, sorrow, and suffering of something that is leaving, but also living the life of the cross is living in the joy and great glory of something that is coming.

The cross was the the separation point of the history of this world, one history is now leaving, fading into the night, the other history is now coming entering into the light.

The cross of Calvary is the central pivot point of the history of humanity.

One kind of a humanity was completely rejected, another altogether different kind of humanity was completely accepted.

One kind of a humanity is destined for great glory, the other kind of humanity is fading into dark history?

Living, breathing, expressing things of the unknown, distant reflections of a world beyond our time.

Mysteries hidden in secret places, waiting for the event of time.

Manifestations of the unknown, otherworldly events, not of this time, not of this space.

Creation, calling, seeking, asking, how long dear Lord, freedom, when?

Why, who are we to wonder? Do we care? Do we long? Do we believe?

Is there a day before us like the day behind? Are we in the middle?

Looking, seeing, knowing, believing, grasping, and yes, praying to one who is, who was, and is to come.

But already here?

Hidden in the new world of this present age?

Rejoicing, loving, guiding, restoring, calling.

Do you hear him speak? He is calling you?

Can you answer His name?

He is Jesus, He is love.

This visible world is the reflection of the invisible.

This life in which we live, touch, taste, hearing, seeing, smelling, knowing, understanding, perceiving, feeling, Joy, sorrow, pain, pleasure, hate? Love.

We are all vessels of revelation, pliable in the hands of the unknown, expressing things that are otherworldly, but not of this place.

Yes there is a world, Hidden, invisible, in the Shadows of this our life,

Secrets, mysteries, unknown, unheard, waiting for those of this moment in this time?

Eye hath not seen, neither ear heard, nor entered the heart of man, what is to those who search.

Other world expressions, mystical creatures? Living beings.

Yes controlling, guiding, loving, protecting, and caring,

Eternal heavenly phenomenon revealed on the canvas of this, our time.

Humanity is waiting, longing, hoping, believing, asking, yes praying.

Who are we? Who look at each other in this moment that is ours in time?

Are we really we? Or are we they? Who are they, who are hidden? Are they really real? Can we see them?

What is this strange world in which we live and move, is it a real place?

Is it now, is it just a moment fading,,,, moving, leaving,

Disappearing into the night?

Is this really you, who lives in this moment of this time? Or is this they? What is the difference? Who are they?

Are we really able to share this moment and space? Or is it all ours.

Are we really alone here, living, breathing, speaking, living, loving, feeling.

Or do we dwell together?

Are we one, or are we two, maybe we are three.

Are we in some kind of harmony? Do we have true liberty?

Are we really free?

What is freedom?

Is it you? is it me?
