True faith to do the works of God comes from living in the life of God.
JOHN 14:12
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.
JOHN 5:36
But I have a greater witness than John—my teachings and my miracles. The Father gave me these works to accomplish, and they prove that he sent me.
JOHN 10:38
But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
JOHN 5:20
For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.
Jesus lived in the life of the father, everything that Jesus saw the father do Jesus did.
This is the pattern that the lord lived out.
I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.
To do the works of God one must come to the place where God is working.
As Jesus lived in the life of the father, so we must also live in the life of the Son.
Jesus only had faith to do what he saw the father doing.
True faith to do the works of God, only comes from what we see God doing in his Son.
Through the cross we are brought into the life of the Son.
There and only there do we witness God doing his works.
The cross gives us access into the works of God, who lives in his Son.
If we truly see God working in Christ, who is his Son, then this gives us faith to speak the works that we are seeing.
The only place that the father is at work now is in the Son.
The Son is the meeting place of God and man.
Through the cross we are now given access into the heavenly man, who is the Son of God.
We became true Sons of God when we are brought into the Son of God.
When we come into Christ, we begin to see the father at work.
When we see the works of God, which are only happening in the Son, this gives us faith to be able to release what we are witness to.
The father is always working, but he is only working in his Son.
All things belong to the Son, when we are truly living in the Son, then the Father is our Father.
He is the father of Jesus, but he is also our Father through our union with his Son.
