We through the revelation of the cross of Calvary are raised into the realm of the cosmos, which are located in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus.

There we enter into the realm and domain of the fallen principalities and powers of this present dark age.

Though at the cross these powers of the air were initially defeated, by the Lord, yet they still remain in these places of universal influence over the creation of God.

This other dimensional world of true reality, it is a hidden sphere to those who are not truly born into it. This other dimensional world, it is a realm of intense spiritual reality, for any who find themselves in the atmosphere of it.

There and only there does one truly find the authority of the body of Christ, which is his eternal Church.

These governmental rulers and authorities, which inhabit this arena of creation, they are the world regulators of the created order of Gods good creation.

This realm of the fallen powers, it still continue in the cosmic universal rebellion, against the created ordering of God.

It is a strange and unexplained mystery of how, and when this universal rebellion occurred. Some believe it occurred through the sin and disobedience of Adams fall, who was a type and figure of Christ.

This other dimensional realm and world of the heavenlies, it is a hidden place of spiritual reality for those of this physical, natural world.

This other dimensional world, and realm, it is the inner reality, pole of everything, which is outer, visible reality. It is the hidden invisible pole of the outer cosmos, which we see, hear, and feel, and experience.

The great question is, why does the Lord allow this rebellion to continue. in the realm of the heavenlies, which also bleeds into this world. Even after the great universal victory at Calvary, why does the Lord continue to allow this realm of rebellion, and evil to pollute and bring such disorder and death into his creation.

This world of inner creation, it is a profoundly strange environment for mortals that have only known that, which they have been born into.

The bible is very clear, there is this other dimensional world of the principalities and powers. This was a reality of the old testament, it is a reality of the new. It is found all throughout the biblical writings.

We find these powers early in the writings of the old testament, they are the Gods of the nations.

These powers were very much a reality for ancient Israel. Israel found itself through its long history, giving themselves over to these powers.

Israel continued to chase after these other Gods. The prophets of old were in constant rebuke of the nation, and the other Gods that they continued to seek after.

¹Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother was Hephzibah.  He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, following the detestable practices of the pagan nations that the Lord had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites.  He rebuilt the pagan shrines his father, Hezekiah, had destroyed. He constructed altars for Baal and set up an Asherah pole, just as King Ahab of Israel had done. He also bowed before all the powers of the heavens and worshiped them.

He built pagan altars in the Temple of the Lord, the place where the Lord had said, “My name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”  He built these altars for all the powers of the heavens in both courtyards of the Lord’s Temple. ⁶ Manasseh also sacrificed his own son in the fire. He practiced sorcery and divination, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger.

2 Kings 21,1 to

In the old testament the reference to other Gods is found in 245 places. Israel had a long dark history of chasing after these other gods.

We come over to the new testament and we begin to really get a bigger enlarged picture of the these powers of creation.

When Jesus started his public ministry after his baptismal at the Jordan river, everything changed. The event of the Jordan river, was for Jesus a new reality, which was introduced into the creation. This other realm of the heavens were opened to him at the Jordan, the spirit of God descended from the heavens onto the life of Christ.

But notice what transpired right after this profound event, he was lead into the wilderness, and came into confrontation with the prince of this world. From then on, this antagonism against Jesus, from the prince of the powers of the air, became for him, a visible, living reality.

Jesus through baptism entered into something, which no other human in history had seen nor known before. Jesus entered into an environment in, which was, and still continues to be, a battlefield. This hidden reality of the heavenlies, it was now exposed. The light of Gods life in Christ, had now invaded the darkness. The realm and domain of the hidden darkness was now being brought out into the light. Strange and profound events where now beginning to transpire, demons cried out and screamed in the presence of this exposing light, which now invaded the darkness.

This is the reality for all those who through the baptism of the holy spirit now enter. It is very similar in many ways to what was true of Jesus. Jesus was the pattern Son, he was the forerunner into this new world of the heavenlies. When we truly come into the Christ of God, we enter this strange new profound, but also very hostile environment.

Through the life of the Son of God, access is given to enter into the darkness of the cosmos, which is still the present reality in this world, but the darkness is beginning to be exposed.

In the beginning the Word already existed.
    The Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
 God created everything through him,
    and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,
    and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness,
    and the darkness can never extinguish it. 1 John 1- 1 to 5
