The tension is growing in this world toward the Jew; nations are beginning to turn their backs on Israel, you can feel the tension in the spirit realm, the rulers of this present age are bullying the nations to turn on Israel, the powers of the air know full well what the restoration of Israel means for them.

Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah.

And it will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples around; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. In that day declares the Lord; I will strike every horse of the peoples with bewilderment, and his rider with madness. Zechariah 12-2,3,4

And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over him, like the bitter weeping over a first born. Zechariah 12-9,10

For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when he fights on a day of battle.

And in that day his feet will stand on the mount of olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south Zechariah 14-2,3,4

And it will come about in that day that living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.

And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and his name the only one. Zechariah 14-8,9

We will know when the age is coming to a close by what is happening with the people of Israel, their national reinstatement as a nation into the new covenant, which we the church have been grafted into, releases all previous covenants made by God to this people.

They are key to the promises of the theocratic rule of the God of Israel over the nations.

The fullness of the messianic promises will be released when Israel as a nation receives their King.

That is why the powers of the air are so opposed to this people, they know the prophetic scriptures much better than we. They know what the restoration of this nation means for them and their long rule of terror over the nations. They know that when Israel as a nation calls on their messiah the game is over, their destiny as the gods of this age comes to a sudden ending, they are cast out of the vineyard of Gods world.

Israel’s existence is a prophet reminder, that the Lord will return and rule this world. The full furry of the enemy will be unleashed towards them before the return of the king. Their very presence in this world embodies the future reign of Christ over the nations.

I believe the rulers of this present age know that their time is short. The manifestations of hatred that are coming through the instruments of this present evil world reveal their great anxiety, you can almost feel the panic in the atmosphere, its like a raging antagonism is coming against the people of Israel.

I believe we are beginning to enter the time the bible calls Jacobs trouble, but on that day the Lord will deliver Jacob.
