The coming man of sin?

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3-10

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Revelation 12:7-17

The scriptures are very clear on the sign before the return of the Lord, the man of sin must be revealed.

The great question is, who is this end time figure of the scriptures called the man of sin?

Many believers believe that the restrainer is the holy spirt, when the spirt is removed, then the man of sin comes on the scene of history? I have real issues with this belief. If the spirt of the Lord is removed from the earth, then how do people get saved through the tribulation? Salvation does continue through the tribulation period. If the spirt of the Lord is removed, taken out of the earth, then how can people receive salvation?

What I believe I am beginning to see, is that the restrainer is Satan himself. When Satan is cast out of the heavens, and then forced into a human body, this then triggers the final three and a half years, which is written in the book of Daniel.

Satan has no desire to come and indwell a human body, just as God in Christ did.

When Satan is finally cast out of heaven, then the end of the age is finally a coming reality.

This seems to be the last act before the end of this present age, which is the trigger of the three and a half years before the return of Christ.
