When we look at this creation through the lenses of our old humanity we see the physical attributes of it, but when we pierce into the spirit world through our new humanity, which is Christ in us, we begin to see that all the fabric of this visible created universe is held together by spiritual realities, which Paul calls the principalities and powers.
They as us, have natural physical appearances, which is the all that we see live and move in, but their essence is spiritual.
This whole world, which we live and move in, has at the heart of it, supernatural substances, which are spiritual realities.
The creation we live in is cradled in the powers of this age, they are what regulates and carry the natural world of the created order, which is visible.
Every natural pole in creation, also has a supernatural counterpart in the inner cosmos.
This inner cosmos is where all the action takes place first. If it happens in the heavens first, then it will also be manifest in the earth.
We live in a supernatural world of epic proportion. When God gives us revelation to see this other world, it staggers us. The vastness and scale of what we are involved with is stunning.
Air, water, fire, plants, trees, the all things of creation, which make up these things are carried along by supernatural spirit realities. When Jesus rebuked the winds and the waves the powers obeyed his spoken word.
When the Lord walked this earth as a man, he lived in this other dimension of reality. Jesus spoke into this other dimensional reality. Jesus commanded into this reality, he rebuked into this reality, which is the inner creation of the outer cosmos.
When we are born into this created natural world, we are given a body of flesh and blood. So also when we are truly born from heaven, we are also given a spiritual body.
As our natural body has natural features, so then also our spiritual body has spiritual features.
Paul says there are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another.
There is one glory of the sun and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars, for star differs from star in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead, it is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body.
It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.
It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
So also it is written, the first man Adam became a living soul. The Last Adam became a life giving spirit.
However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.
As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly.
And just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Corinthians, 15: 40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49
Paul seems to say that when we are born again into new birth, we are given a new body, which is not flesh and blood, but is spirit in substance.
Like our natural body with our natural features, so also our spiritual body has distinct features that God gives it.
As diverse as we are naturally, so also we are even more diverse spiritually.
As we have natural gifts and abilities, so also God clothes our spiritual man with distinct features and abilities.
I believe as diverse as Israel was as a nation, so also is the church.
Some are clothed with the garments of the priesthood.
Some are clothed with heart of a Shepard.
Some are given the heart of David.
Some are clothed with the armour of heaven.
Some are given the Prophetic mantle.
Some are given apostolic authority.
