Chose us in him before the foundation of the world?

The Lord reins, over all things, all events, all people, all our ways are in his hands, his times and his seasons? Blessed be his holy name!

The most hated of the enemy is the doctrine of election, it cuts his ground from under him. When we think we can add to these things, or take away from them, then we open the door to unbelief, which gives the devil a foot hold to torment us.

The sure foundation stands, God knows those who are his!

The elect were selected in him before the foundation of the world. They were chosen not because God saw they would respond to his mercy, they were chosen simply because God selected them out of his good pleasure.

Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.  Ephesians 1, 4-5

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide. John 15, 16

All the elect that were chosen, were called. All they that were called, responded to the irresistible grace of God.

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.  For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.  And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. John 6, 37-39

Do not grumble among yourselves.  No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. John 6, 43-45

The path they walk he has prepared for them. The discipline they endure, he has specially chosen to them. In the fires and devastation’s of their lives, he is with them. All their enemies that hate him are under the hand of his sovereignty.

His overwhelming divine authority for his elect is matchless, his divine mercy shown to them is endless, his divine love is eternal.

His divine justice broods over his elect, no one, no event, can, nor will ever be able to dislodge one of his elect from his hand of unmatched authority.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.  I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.  I and the Father are one. John 10, 27-30

When one truly sees the election of God, then the heavy burdensome yoke of always trying be please God out from oneself is finally lifted off our necks, the heavens are opened, we now see that we are fully accepted in him, only because of our beloved savior Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice.

Jesus says to us I have bought you with a great price, no one will, nor can, ever separate you from the love of God, which is only revealed in Christ!

No matter what comes into ones life now, Jesus and only Jesus has the final say regarding his elect.

I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.  All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.  And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.  While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. John 17, 9-12

It is now not what I am that can stand before the presence of God, but it is who he is, which only can satisfy the holiness of God.

Jesus Christ, who is now seated as a priest on the mercy seat of heaven, for the sake of his elect, hides and covers us from all our defects, and short comings, which are very many.

Jesus Christ crucified, risen, and exalted, at the right hand of power, this is now the confession of the elect.

To live by the election of God, is to live, and participate in Christ’s complete victory over all things, which separated and estranged us from this great love.

Gods eternal decrees for his elect are the foundation of our faith.

If salvation was subjected to what we are in ourselves, then God would be a very lonely Creator.

God does not change his mind, which he has made through his eternal decrees, which were proclaimed ages ago, before he created all things through Christ.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?  Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.  Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8,31-35

God is an eternal God who is ruling his creation. An electing God that cannot fail his people, a god that is governed by his eternal decrees of his free choice.

No matter what comes into the life of his elect, Jesus has the final say. Jesus says to his elect. I have bought you with a price, no one will ever separate you from his eternal love!

Absolutely acceptable now because of Christs work on the cross. The father is fully satisfied now in his son, and we are in his son, which also qualifies the elect to stand in the presence of God the Father!
