Did you know that all the opposition that comes into your life is a gift from God? Darkness is a gift from God as much as light is his gift?

There are great treasures to be found in the grace of darkness?

Gods revelation of who he truly is in himself is found in the darkness.

The darkness of God, reveals the true and living one, who is very other than what we think of him?

We have made a God according to our own image today, one who plays and lives by our rules?

The darkness of the cross was the fullness of the revelation of the true and living one, a God who is so other than us, one we could not bear to look at. The cross revealed a God so radically other than the idolatry of our hearts?

To truly see this suffering God, who is in himself a servant, is to see true reality.

When we can truly look into this face of this broken, crushed servant, then we can truly live!

God said, no man can look at his face and live? That’s what the cross revealed, the cross revealed the true face of God, when we truly see this face, who is the eternal crucified God, in the flesh, then we can never again be the same, we die to all that we think, or know, of this self made up, make believe God, who we think is like us?
